Overview of the TCP/IP stack and its relationship to the OSI
Standard in the
z/OS environment.
IP address classes and the need for subnetting.
Ports and their use.
IP Routing.
Network interfaces.
The use of Domainname Services.
The network file system.
TCP/IP Operations and methods of interrogation, to include
console, native TSO
and USS interfaces.
Overview of TCP/IP applications, to include TN3270E, FTP,
Telnet and
OMPROUTE.
Virtual IP Addressing (VIPA). |

Delivery |
This
course can be provided on customer site or at OS Security
Ltd's training facility in Solihull. Extensive practical exercises
are an integral part of this course and therefore class sizes
are limited to 12 attendees. |
