Pre- requisites Thorough understanding of TCP/IP implementation for z/OS.
Audience This course can be provided on customer site or at OS Security Ltd's training facility in Solihull. Practical exercises will not include the configuration of features dependent on a parallel Sysplex.
Course Content Introduction to High Availability.
High availability considerations in a non-Sysplex environment including the use
of multiple interfaces, Dynamic routing protocols and static Virtual IP Addressing
(VIPA).
Dynamic configuration using Obey files, System Symbolics and Re-IPL
avoidance. Dynamic VIPA functionality.
OMPROUTE/multipath.
OSA Express.
Sysplex Distributor.
DNS/WLM workload optimisation.
