This is an advanced
class offering customization techniques for Tivoli NetView,
including integration capability with
Tivoli Enterprise Console, Tivoli Switch Analyzer, IBM
Tivoli Monitoring and firewall considerations. Other Tivoli
products will be discussed briefly.

At the end of the class, students should have
significantly enhanced their ability to craft real-world
solutions for NetView, and dramatically improved their
knowledge of the integration aspects of NetView with:

This course is
aimed at technical IBM consultants, business partners
and customers
requiring in-depth knowledge of the capabilities and
integration possibilities associated with Tivoli NetView.
Although primarily a technical implementation course,
participants will generally also have a role involved
in the planning and requirements definition of systems
management solutions.

Skills/Knowledge |
Students must have a good working knowledge
of Unix & shellscripting,
Tivoli NetView on Unix and TEC. Some knowledge of Tivoli
Framework and ITM would also be beneficial.
Students should also have a good background knowledge
of networking principles and techniques. Prior attendance
on basic NetView and TEC classes, or equivalent minimum
experience, is mandatory
