Course Description

IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Business Integration, Version 5.1.0: WebSphere MQ enables you to manage your MQ Series environment. This product provides facilities to discover WebSphere MQ resources and automatically define them to the Tivoli management environment. IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Business Integration, Version 5.1.0: WebSphere MQ provides IBM Tivoli Monitoring resource models which enable real-time monitoring of the WebSphere MQ environment, as well as historical reporting when used with Tivoli Enterprise Data Warehouse. The WebSphere MQ resource models generate TEC and/or TBSM events, which may be viewed by either console. Additionally, IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Business Integration, Version 5.1.0: WebSphere MQ provides tasks to automate operations and aid the management of the MQ Series environment. This course will teach you to install, administer, and use IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Business Integration, Version 5.1.0: WebSphere MQ. This training includes video of an expert using this product to perform WebSphere MQ administrative tasks, and provides guided practice simulations for many administrative operations.

Experience using the IBM Tivoli Monitoring 5.1 product
Working knowledge of policy regions
Ability to create and use profiles and profile managers
Ability to distribute profiles to subscribers
Understanding of scripting languages such as Java Script and Visual Basic
script is an advantage
NT and Unix Administration skills. .
