Course Description Tivoli Monitoring is an efficient, reliable, automated tool that provides IT administrators the capabilities to closely monitor the status and performance of to mission-critical distributed applications and computing resources.
This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to configure, operate, customise and troubleshoot Tivoli Distributed Monitoring.
This course includes multiple opportunities for you to practice your skills in a complex lab environment. A series of carefully constructed hands-on activities allow you to immediately reinforce the important lessons presented in this course.

This course covers the the foundations of IBM Tivoli Monitoring. We also recommend the 1 day "Migrating to IBM Tivoli Course", which covers migration of Distributed Monitoring 3.6 to ITM 5.x, and also discusses the new features of ITM 5.1.1

Who will benefit from the course? This course is intended for System Administrators who will set up, configure, and/or use Tivoli Monitoring.
Required Skills/Knowledge Windows NT and Unix Administration skills.
Recommended Pre-requisites Before attending this course, you should attend the Tivoli Management Framework course or possess equivalent knowledge or skill, as defined in the description for that course.
