Description |
This
course is the first level of hands-on training
offered for the Tivoli Enterprise Console. Topics include:
capabilities and benefits of the product, architecture
and
terminology, configuring the event consoles for viewing
events, defining new events, modifying the LogFile Adapter
to generate events from an ASCII file, creating new
rules using the graphical Rule Builder, and includes an
introduction to Netview

| Objectives |
Explain the capabilities, benefits, and architecture of
TEC.
Discuss
the architecture and working of AIM.
Configure
event consoles for viewing events.
Define
new events using BAROC.
Modify
the Logfile Adapter to generate events from an ASCII file.
Create
new rules using the Graphical Rule Builder.
Discuss
troubleshooting techniques in TEC 3.7.

Tivoli Framework knowledge:
Either the
Tivoli Framework course or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Familiarity
with a programming or scripting language. |
